The traffic-related work tasks included detailed capacity analyses at key intersections and pedestrian crosswalks on the existing and future roadway network to define the proposed access roadway configuration and frontage roadway requirements.

Subsequently, SIMCO prepared detailed MOT Traffic Drawings for the Construction Document submittal as part of the final design project team. The basic design support service included the refinement of the previous Design Development MOT plans, the preparation of signal/sign design layouts, the identification of overhead sign bridge locations, and the preparation of responses to PA rider comments. Other technical work tasks included bid assessment and construction support services.

In addition, extensive coordination effort was performed among the project team, the AirTrain (LRS) contractor, and the PANYNJ staff to assure expeditious resolution of potential conflicts between the on-going JFK International Airport construction contracts.

The preliminary MOT plans were prepared in response to implementation of the numerous construction stages involved in the proposed landside terminal facilities. Subsequently, final MOT plans were prepared for the Construction Document submittal.
